Hello, I’m Alphie!
A social media manager by day, a vtuber by night, and an artist somewhere in the middle…
I have my hands full with what usually feels like three full-time jobs! But these experiences have made me an expert in making the most out of my time, and adding creative detailing anywhere and everywhere I can.

My Story…
I’m originally from the small Virginian town of Front Royal, nestled against the Appalachian mountains. Most of my time as a teenager was spent in the woods, hiking through Shenandoah National Park and speeding down Skyline Drive on my bike. I also spent a lot of time gardening, creating art, and raising chickens in the backyard of my grandpa Jim’s home, where I served as a live-in caregiver until his passing in my early 20’s. Jim was both a wonderful person and an amazing supporter of me in everything I’ve ever done. His loss was felt acutely by everyone in the family.
I spent the next few years after his passing in a daze. On paper I was more successful than ever: I moved to a big city and got a well-paying desk job at a large corporation. I had my own apartment. I got married… And I was miserable. I was working 10+ hours a day and I came home at 11:30PM with barely enough energy to make myself dinner and pass out on the couch. I spent any time not working taking care of the house and being tormented by a person who promised to love me. It was only with the true love and support from my friends (and therapist) that I managed to climb out of the hole I had dug myself into.
I left my spouse. I got a new apartment, this time with a patio big enough to start a garden. Eventually I learned to love again, and found someone new to spend my life with: A city boy from LA, with kind eyes and smile like dappled sunlight peeking through the trees. He is wonderful and generous, and lovely in every conceivable way. In the spring my flowers and confidence both blossomed, and I quit my job to focus on my career as an artist and a freelancer. After many long talks, my love and I agreed that we would both be much happier in the peace and quiet of my beloved mountains. We will be returning to Appalachia later this year.
My Mission and Goals…
My love of Appalachia and my experiences with loss are both inextricably tied to the works I create. My art is about the cycles of nature and of life, the changing of the seasons, and the beauty found in both growth and decay.
My biggest creative goal is to bike the 105-mile length of Skyline Drive, from Front Royal to Waynesboro, VA, stopping to paint a landscape at each of the Drive’s 75 overlooks.
When I’m not working on my next artwork, I can be found sharing art tips on my art channel (@alphiebeet), or gaming with friends on Twitch and YT (@alphiebeetgames).
I hope you enjoy your stay in my little corner of the internet! <3
